Wentzl, named after its founder Jan Wentzl, is located in the southwest end of Krakow Old Town Main Square (Rynek Glowny). In 1792, Jan Wentzl opened a restaurant bearing his name and in 2000 a hotel with the same name was opened.

Hotel Wentzl offers 18 rooms, 6 on each floor, with each room offers a distinct and unique design. The hotel offers the front-row seat to one of the best view in town; Krakow Old Town Main Square, St. Mary’s Church, the Clock Tower and the Cloth Hall (Sukiennice) right outside your window.

Rooms on the 2nd floor are more classic; with exposed bricks and wooden ceiling. The marble-floor bathroom are modern that includes modern amenities like hair-dryer, cosmetic mirrors, tubs, etc. Rooms on the 4th floor are more modern. No two rooms (or experience for that matter) at this hotel are the same. The service is excellent. Friendly and helpful staff will make you feel right at home with their attentive care.

Villa De Daun – An Island Oasis

I just returned from a trip to Bali that included a short and memorable stay at Villa de daun. The villa is located in the Legian area, within walking distance from Kuta. It is close enough to shopping, dining, and entertainment area for pure fun in the sun but far enough that it stays quiet both during the day and in the evening.

On our arrival, we were served with complimentary drink and treated to a nice relaxing 30-minute foot massage at the Dala Spa. Dala Spa was voted the best new spa in Asia in 2007. I can’t even begin to describe how amazing our villa is. It’s very well kept; very neat and clean.

Our 1 bedroom deluxe pool villa has a spacious garden, a private swimming pool, an outdoor living room, a fully air-conditioned living room and a kitchen facility. I found the place to be very relaxing; far away from civilization to indulge myself in serenity.

We were well taken care by their friendly staffs and would like to thank them for their warm hospitality.

There is a daily afternoon tea served by the staff. Free internet access and dvd movies are available for us to use. Breakfast was served at the villa and had to be pre ordered the day before. There were plenty of foods to choose from. They also provide free airport transfer and drop off service to Kuta, Legian, and Seminyak districts.

You can have a romantic candle-lit dinner in your own villa. Against a backdrop of flickering candles and thousands of delicate flower blossoms decorating the pool, you are indulged in a 4-course meal for an evening to remember.

Archbishop’s Mansion – French Chateau in the City (Closed)

This French chateau mansion was the former home of the Archbishop of San Francisco. Built in 1904, the mansion is now a grand bed and breakfast surrounded by San Francisco’s most plentiful collection of Victorian architecture, including San Francisco’s famous “Painted Ladies.”

Spectacularly crafted woodwork, antiques and a sweeping staircase grace the varied common areas. Each of the 15 spectacular guestrooms and suites are individually decorated and named after an opera.

All guestrooms feature either full or partial canopied beds, period antiques, phone with dataport, VCRs, cable TV, CD players and include a complimentary deluxe continental breakfast served to your room.
